Welcome to PreCollege Programs at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater!

I started at UW-Whitewater as a student majoring in psychology where I had countless rewarding educational and leadership experiences. Shortly after graduation I began working on campus full time with various offices including: Latino Student Programs, College of Business & Economics, Student Support Services, Academic Standards, Residence Life, and now, PreCollege Programs. During this time I also received my Master of Science degree in Curriculum & Instruction - Higher Education. While growing up, I was very lucky to have parents supportive of my education, but as a first generation student, I couldn't always turn to them for the help I needed navigating through college. There were many staff members at UW-Whitewater that showed me the ropes and assisted me in the rough patches. I still turn to these staff members for professional guidance and appreciate the generosity of their time and caring. I sincerely hope we can be that support system for you as you explore the world that opens up through education.

Miguel Aranda obtained his Bachelors in Business Administration, majoring in International Business with an Economics minor, and his Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. He has enjoyed working across the University in various roles - as a Custodian, a Program Manager for the Offices of the Undergraduate Research Program and the University Honors Program, a Senior Financial Specialist at the University Center, to an Administrative Assistant to the Chief Diversity Officer.

Along with his breadth of perspective of the University, he is also an active volunteer in the community of Whitewater. He plans and leads Latino initiatives, such as supporting Dreamers, is a member of the League of Women Voters, and participates in City and School District committees to name a few.

Hello future and current Warhawks! Sarah serves the PreCollege Program as the PreCollege Service Coordinator at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She is responsible for coordinating Upward Bound Program, Summer Academic Campus, and Saturday College Programs.
I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Studies of Education from Edgewood College, and a Master’s in Higher Education & Leadership from UW-Whitewater. I am honored to work with an incredible team who are dedicated in helping future Warhawks explore post-secondary education, understand the many resources that are available to support you in your education journey. When I am not in the office or visiting high schools, you can find me in the kitchen baking up new recipes, reading historical fiction novels, taking my dogs on walks, or watching Badger sports.
Advice for Future Students:
College is a wonderful new place where you will have a lot of new experiences. Keep an open mind, explore career options, and you never know what will happen with your dreams. So, dream BIG.

Welcome to the Office of PreCollege Website! I serve as the Administrative Assistant for the TRIO and PreCollege Programs here on campus. My responsibilities include administrative, managerial and event planning for our programs. I'm honored to serve our students each and every day and I am happy to answer any questions you may have about our programs.
