Other general information:

  • All camps are residential camps, which means students live on campus.
  • Students are provided with three nutritious meals per day.
  • Students participate in daily recreational and cultural activities.
  • Students visit other college campuses.
  • Students participate in weekly field trips.
  • Students are exposed to the support services at UW-Whitewater.


Goals & Objectives

PreCollege summer camps provide students with a wide range of academic, career, cultural, and recreational experiences at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. The Office of          PreCollege Programs offers camps for students entering 6th through 12th grades.

PreCollege summer camps proveen estudiantes con una amplia variedad de experiencias en el área académica, carreras, eventos y recreación en University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.  La oficina de PreCollege Programs ofrece campamentos para estudiantes empezando 6 to grado hasta 12.

Eligibility

Students are required to complete the application process. Priority consideration is given to student participants based upon the date the application is received. Due to eligibility changes within the Department of Public Instruction, all applicants must be eligible for "free and reduced" lunch to receive the DPI scholarship, which is the full payment for camp.

Criterios de Admisión

Sera requerido que los estudiantes completen el formulario como parte del proceso.  A los estudiantes se les tendrá en consideración el día en que sea recibido el formulario como una prioridad.  Dependiendo en los cambios a los criterios de admisión del Department of Public Instruction, todos los solicitantes deberán ser elegibles para recibir almuerzo “gratis y reducido” como parte de la beca DPI, la cual es parte del pago completo del campamentos.

Cost

The PreCollege Summer Camps sponsored by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) and UW-Whitewater. The cost is free to those that qualify for the DPI Scholarship.
