Finalists for Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs

The Search and Screen Committee for the position of Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs is pleased to announce the following individuals as finalists. The Committee reviewed 56 completed applications, screened references on 13 preliminary finalists, telephone interviewed seven (7) semifinalists, and has selected the individuals listed below for on-campus interviews.

Campus members are encouraged to attend the open campus interview sessions and provide feedback about each candidate by either filling out evaluation/feedback instruments provided at the session, or by going to the online mechanism linked below. The source of all feedback will remain confidential. Information gleaned from the feedback process will be used to facilitate final candidate evaluation.

Dr. Martin Tadlock

Dr. Tadlock serves as the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Lifelong Learning and Community Engagement at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh (since 2007), and holds an appointment as Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Previously, he has served as the Dean of the College of Professional Studies and Dean of the School of Graduate Studies at California State University-Monterey Bay (2006-07), and served in a similar role at Bemidji State University in MN (2001-06).

Dr. Alan Hartman

Dr. Hartman is currently the Professor of Management and John McNaughton University Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. From 1995 to 2008 he served as the Dean of the College of Business and, during the 2008-09 academic year, served as the Interim Provost and Vice Chancellor at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Dr. Robert Augustine

Dr. Augustine currently serves as the Dean of the Graduate School, Research, International Students & Scholars and Study Abroad at Eastern Illinois University (2000-present). While at Eastern Illinois University, he has also served as the Interim Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs for Technology, and previously earned full professorship and served as chair in the Department of Communication Disorders & Sciences.

Dr. Beverly Kopper

Dr. Kopper currently serves as the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs at the University of Northern Iowa, a position she has held since 2007. She concurrently holds an appointment as a full professor in the Department of Psychology, and has also served as the Director in the Office of Academic Assessment, and as Special Assistant for Academic Affairs, all at the University of Northern Iowa.
