Tentative Time Frame Activity

• 15 July 2009, advertisement for position goes out nationally
• Mid-August 2009, Chancellor meets with the Committee
• 8 September 2009, date at which point applications will begin being reviewed
• 14-16 September 2009, initial screening meeting to identify preliminary finalists
• 21-30 September 2009, reference checking on preliminary finalists
• 1-2 October 2009, report of reference checking and meeting to identify list of finalists
• 5-16 October 2009, conference call screening interviews with finalists
• Week of 19 October 2009, select finalists to come to campus
• 2-13 November 2009, finalists interview on campus
• Week of 16 November 2009, Search Committee recommendations forwarded to Chancellor
• 1 January 2010 (tentative start date for new Provost)
