The mission of the Office of Recreation Sports and Facilities is to provide facilities, programs, and services that address all physical, recreational, and leisure pursuits of the University community. Emphasis is placed on participation, increasing knowledge of wellness and physical fitness, and promoting healthy lifestyle behaviors.
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Office of Recreation Sports and Facilities believes it is most important to offer a safe physical environment to students, faculty/staff, student-athletes, community members, summer campers, and all other spectators and visitors that utilize our indoor and outdoor facilities. The Office of Recreation Sports and Facilities is a partner with both the Intercollegiate Athletic Department and the Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Coaching (HPRC) Department in providing and maintaining the best possible state-of-the-art facilities that can be shared for usage as opportunities arise to all of the above mentioned user groups.
Survey of Former Employees
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Recreation Sports Staff conducted a Survey of Former Recreation Sports and Facilities Student Employees Survey in the Spring of 2013. The survey was used to capture former Recreation Sports student employees' reflections into their out of classroom learning experiences while attending school at UW-Whitewater. The survey focused on the career and life related benefits that were obtained during their student-employment experiences. A copy of the results are below.

WIRSA Conference 2014
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Recreation Sports Staff hosted the WIRSA 2014 Annual State Workshop on October 8-10, 2014 on campus and in Lake Geneva, WI. The workshop brought over 120 Recreation Professionals and Students as well as Vendors together to discuss the latest trends in Recreation Sports.
