New members of the Warhawk Family
The Warhawk women's team is happy to announce that it has recently recruited two more young women for the upcoming fall:
Brittany Gustafson
Brittany has signed to be one of the newest members of the Warhawk Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team. She has just graduated from Monticello High School in Minnesota, and is looking forward to starting college classes this fall.
Brittany was born November 10th, 1993 and has played wheelchair basketball for ten years at the Courage Center in Minnesota. She plans to major in Business Finance. Her favorite basketball memory was growing stronger with her team on and off the court throughout the years. Brittany’s greatest achievement was graduating high school and being able to take both, her studies and passion for basketball, into college. In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, hanging out with friends, working out, drawing, photographing and listening to music. She is most excited about playing wheelchair basketball at a higher level and looks forward to meeting new people.
Vanessa Erskine
Vanessa has recently signed to also join Warhawks Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team. She graduated High School this spring from Kearney High School in Kearney, Missouri. She was born on July 12th, 1994 and played wheelchair basketball on the Kansas City Junior Pioneers team for one year. She plans to major in Health and Human Performance and looks forward to starting classes this fall. Her favorite basketball memory was being a part of the Kanas City Junior Pioneers for their first trip to Nationals and all being able to bond with the team. In her spare time, she plays basketball, softball, track & field, guitar and is a Special Olympics Track Buddy.
