The Management Computer Systems (MCS) major is an interdisciplinary program combining faculty from Information Technology and Business Education in the College of Business and Economics with their colleagues from the Department of Mathematical and Computer Sciences in the College of Letters and Sciences. The major offers a unique blend of computing and management skills designed to harness computer technology to the needs of a wide variety of business, industrial, financial, governmental and educational organizations. Graduates are trained in the areas of programming, systems analysis, and software design with a strong background in business. Typical entry level positions include programmer, programmer/analyst, systems analyst and consultant.
