SBDC Training Programs
Every month, the SBDC offers a 2 1/2 hour informational seminar on starting a business for a small fee. "The First Steps" is a solid introduction to the issues associated with running a small business. The single session event looks at the feasibility of business ideas, how to get started, and who can help get your business off the ground.

This series is a guided journey to starting or growing your business. It utilizes experts in law, accounting, banking, insurance, management, and marketing to develop your business knowledge. In this series you will create a quality business plan which can help you control your business instead of letting it control you.
A business plan is also a critical tool for attracting funding! Click here for more information.
Upcoming Winter 2008 classes:
Opportunity to Profit - Dates and times for future classes will be announced based on the needs of business owners. The course that was originally scheduled to begin on February 1, 2008 has been cancelled due to a lack of eligible applicants.
If you are interested in attending an Opportunity to Profit class and none have been scheduled, please contact us at ask-sbdc@uww.edu to express your interest. If we receive a large number of requests for the course from eligible applicants, (people who have already completed the First Steps class which is a pre-requisite), then we will be better able to schedule a class.
To request that you be contacted when course details become available, e-mail ask-sbdc@uww.edu.
Thank you.
