The owner of Nature Friendly Landscaping, a small landscape contractor, took the SBDC’s Entrepreneurial Training course to write a business plan for debt financing. As part of the class, the owner performed a profitability analysis by product line and discovered that the company should raise their prices for certain key services. In doing so, the company increased sales and greatly improved their profitability. The business became financially stable in a short period of time and the advice from the SBDC allowed them to stay in business in the long-term.
“This course literally saved our business. When I first started, I expected to write a plan to get some money. Now I feel focused. Our business is going beyond our expectations financially, and our plan is geared toward goal setting. We are financially stable so we don’t need financing at this time. How Wonderful!”
