About the Authors

Russ Kashian

Dr. Russ Kashian is an Urban and Regional Economist. Recent research areas include the economics of the recapture of “Use-Valuation” of Farmland; the impact differentiated taxes have on non-farm homeowners in developing regions, and the Amenity Value of Farmland. In addition, Dr Kashian conducts research in the regional distribution of financial institutions and the impact on the demand for labor. He has published the results of his research in Journal of Applied Business Research, Economic Development Quarterly, Growth and Change, The Journal of Regional Science and Policy, Journal of Family Issues, Monthly Labor Review, and the Industrial and Labor Relations Review.


Jeff HeindrichProfessor Heinrich’s main research area is International Economics, particularly foreign direct investment, regional economic integration, and South-East Asia somewhat. He has published articles in the ASEAN Economic Bulletin and the Journal of Economic Integration, and presented at the International Convention of the East Asian Economic Association.
