For the 2015 Schedule of Events, click here!
Thank you for visiting the schedule for Earth Week 2014. This year, we continue our student-led event planning efforts through the work of several student organizations to put on an offering of events that will interest their fellow UW-Whitewater students. Please tak an opportunity to browse this year's schedule and mark your calendar and/or visit the Facebook event page and mark that you'll be attending. If you have a large group interested in attending or participating in one of these events, please contact us to discuss further.
Look for opportunities to recycle plastic bags with members of the UW-Whitewater Earth Initiative and consider purchasing a spider plant for your residence hall room, apartment, or gift for Mother's Day from members of SAGE at various events throughout the week.

PEACE/SAGE Film Double Feature: Who Killed the Electric Car/Revenge of the Electric Car
PEACE and SAGE will be presenting two films related to alternative energy vehicles. Who Killed the Electric Car follows the initial failures of the electric car industry by looking at the popular and ill-fated GM EV1. Revenge of the Electric Car is by the same director (Chris Paine), and follows up on its predecessor by detailing the resurgence of electricity powered vehicles that has happened in recent years.
Advanced Technology Vehicle Show
Take an opportunity to see some of the latest and greatest vehicle technologies on display right here on campus. Vehicles like the Nissan LEAF and Chevrolet Volt are leading the way to incorporating electric vehicle technology into modern vehicles, but many other types of vehicles exist that have sustainability in mind. Take a look at what's currently out there before learning more from Chris Paine at the lecture this evening.
