Climbing at Wall Crawlers
Wall Crawlers in Whitewater is Southern Wisconsin’s largest indoor rock
climbing experience. They have over 10,000 square feet of textured climbing
routes and bouldered surfaces. They also offer 3 different areas of activities
for different skill levels. There is 1500 square feet of bouldering room specifically
suited for hard training. A specially constructed pole-vaulters mat covers the
floor so you can focus on climbing without dragging mats around or recruiting
spotters. There are 38 top ropes over 32 feet high with routes to accommodate
both first time climbers to the most advanced climbers and everyone in between,
and a 70 foot arch for more experienced climbers.
Kettle
Moraine State Forest
The Southern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest is 30 miles long, extending
from the village of Dousman, Wisconsin, almost to the city of Whitewater. More
than 20,000 acres of glacial hills, kettles, lakes, prairie restoration sites,
pine woods and hardwood forests can be found in the Southern Unit, making this
a popular area for a wide variety of visitors. The 3,500-acre Scuppernong River
Habitat Area is the largest wet prairie east of the Mississippi River. The Kettle
Moraine State Forest is perfect for hiking, mountain biking, having a picnic,
camping, hunting and fishing, a scenic drive, and other various things.
Snowboarding
at Alpine
Alpine Valley Resort in East Troy is one of the largest ski resorts in Southeastern
Wisconsin. It is the only resort in the Midwest with two high speed quads and
three Wondercarpets. Wondercarpets make learning to ski and ride easier than
ever. They offer ski and snowboarding school for beginners. They also have specials,
group rates, and season passes available.
Biking
and hiking in Whitewater
The city bike trail connects Cravath Lake with the Nature Preserve across from
Fremont St. Natureland County Park has a hiking trail at the south end of Whitewater
Lake on Territorial Rd.
Down
Hill Skiing at Grand Geneva
At Grand Geneva Resort there are 18 slopes open to downhill ski, and a halfpipe
and terrain park for snowboarding. You can also cross-country ski or go snow-shoeing.
The resort has snowmaking capabilities so you can do these activities all winter
long. The Grand Geneva Resort also offers lessons, has a Timbers Bar & Grille,
and has a Snow Sport Shop.
Hang
Gliding in Whitewater
Raven Sky Sports is the Midwest's only full-time, full-service hang gliding
school and flight park. They are located just north of Whitewater on Tratt St/Hwy
N and they have beginner classes, by reservation, seven days a week from March
1st thru December 1st.
Skate
Boarding at the Skate Park
If you’re looking for a Super Box with a rollin' square, a piano ledge,
an angled wall ride, or a street spine, you might be looking for the Rotary
Skate Park in Whitewater. Located at the Brewery Hill Park (North St.), the
Rotary Skate Park offers a three ramp structure on a 62' x145' concrete pad
for skaters and bicyclists.

in Cold Spring
Spring Creek Golf Center is a great place for golfing for fun or in a league.
They offer golf lessons. Spring Creek also has outings and entertainment. They
were named one of the top 12 par 3 golf courses in America for 2006.

Golf in Fort Atkinson
Enjoy mini golf at the new King Pin Adventure Golf behind Rock River Lanes,
off Business 26 in Fort Atkinson.
Paint
ball in Janesville
The Edge Paintball field is based on 68 acres of land located on Highway 51,
just South of Janesville. Currently, the Edge has 10 dynamically different fields.
Each of these speedball fields has a safety netted observation area. The Edge
also has a city field with more than 25 houses located on it. Sherwood Forest,
located on a 12 acre wooded field with a 12th century Moat and Bialy fort, and
a 14 century outpost complete with moat and of course, plenty of trees. These
are just a few of the exciting fields we have crafted with the player in mind.
The Edge Paintball also has themed urban fields, complete with a 2 story tower,
these fields have more than 200 dump trucks of dirt added to them to create
a maze of 9 foot tall dirt beams stretching hundreds of yards.

Canoeing along the Rock River you can enjoy Natures beauty spring summer or
fall.. There's plenty to see and great fishing, The river is full of trophy
catfish, smallmouth bass, and Walleye.
