There are no fees for Counseling, Employee Assistance or Wellness programs.
There are some Health Services Fees:
If you graduate in May, you can receive health services for no additional fee until the second Monday of June. To continue services until the first day of fall classes there is a one time fee that changes yearly (less than $40).
If you are enrolled in the spring and for the fall, but not the summer, you can receive health services for no additional fee until the first Monday of June. To continue services from the first Monday of June through August 1, the one time fee of less than $40 applies. After August 1, full services are available without the additional one time time fee.
If you are enrolled
in summer session, you can receive health services for no additional fee until
the first day of fall classes.
If you have no fees or want the fees billed to your university bill and do not need a receipt can use EXPRESS CHECKOUT and promptly exit the Health Center after your appointment.
Those who need a receipt for charges, even if they desire the charges to be billed to their University account, or want to pay by cash, check, purple points, must check out at the front window before leaving the Health Center.
EXCEPTION: Massage therapy is $10-35 payable by cash directly to the massage therapist at the time of the massage.
Tests ordered by the provider are done either in-house or sent to a reference (outside) laboratory. There is a fee (often less than $10.00) for each test done in the UHCS laboratory. Fees for tests sent to reference laboratories are determined by the reference lab.
Antibiotics and other medications are available at UHCS when ordered through a provider. The average cost of medications is about $10.00, however costs vary depending on what is prescribed. A prescription can also be given, if requested, to take to a local pharmacy. This is often done when a student has insurance coverage for medication. In addition, there are some sample medications available.
Many contraceptive options are available. The Wisconsin Family Planning Waiver program provides no charge reproductive health care and contraceptives for eligible female students.
TB skin test is $6.00 (price subject to change) We offer most recommended immunizations. (call for current prices as all are subject to change due to fluctuating prices from our suppliers)
There is a $10.00 charge for single injection/allergen, and a $15.00 charge for multiple injections/allergens.
Physicals are offered for $20.00, plus the cost of lab tests if needed. Fees for crutches and other orthopedic services range from $4.00 to $49.00.
Condoms are 5/$1.00 and dental dams are $1.00.

For a Health Clinic appointment; call 262-472-1300, menu option 3, or stop in the first floor of the Ambrose Health Center between 8 and 4:30. Minor illnesses or injuries are offered an appointment within 3 days. Same-day appointments may be available. Routine visits, such as immunizations, physicals and reproductive exams will be offered an appoiintment within 2 to 4 weeks. No appointment is needed for Cold Self Care, to purchase condoms, or to pick up medication re-fills.
