Student research training Program (start)
The deadline for STaRT is open until capacity reached. Applicants should first read the information below.
The Student Research Training (STaRT) Program is designed to promote undergraduate research in first and second year students by providing paid mentored research opportunities. After a brief application and interview process, students are matched with faculty/staff mentors based on mutual research interests. Research Trainees are engaged in year-long research projects, and are encouraged to present their results in the annual Undergraduate Research Day. Research trainees are paid $7.25/hour for up to 140 total work hours per academic year. Students do not receive credit for being in the STaRT program.
Students interested in the program should fill out the application form below and return it electronically to Catherine Chan, Director of Undergraduate Research, at urp@uww.edu as soon as possible. Please include 'STaRT application' in the subject line. For questions, email the above address or call 472-1296.
