FUNCTION

This committee shall establish policies concerning federal, state and University scholarships, grants, loans and student employment administered by the University and make recommendations concerning student employment in general as it affects financial aids. This committee shall report to the Faculty Senate on all such policies. The committee should strive toward centralization of scholarship, grant and loan information and dissemination. It should also be concerned with the ratio of workload to academic load. It shall work with the committee on honors programs and commencement in preparing appropriate listings of recipients of scholarships.

MEMBERSHIP

4 voting faculty members and 4 voting student members
Director of Financial Aids, ex officio, or his designee

Faculty Members

Director of Financial Aids or his designee who shall not be eligible for election as Chairperson
1 Faculty member elected by the College of Arts & Communication
1 Faculty member elected by the College of Business and Economics
1 Faculty member elected by the College of Education
1 Faculty member elected by the College of Letters and Sciences

Student Members

1 elected from the College of Arts & Communication
1 elected from the College of Business and Economics
1 elected from the College of Education
1 elected from the College of Letters and Sciences

TERM

Two-year staggered terms for elected faculty members and one-year terms for student members.
