FUNCTION

The committee (IACUC) ensures that the campus mission to encourage free and responsible investigation by faculty, staff, and students is compatible with a responsible animal care program. The purpose of review is to ensure conformity with federal regulations, state statutes, and generally accepted ethical guidelines involving the use of animals in research.

MEMBERSHIP

At least five appointed members who have appropriate education and experience to perform their duties with respect to the types of animals and species used and the kind of projects to be undertaken.
