Please join us for an evening of celebration as we commemorate a quarter century of success with our 25th Anniversary Fundraiser event. All donations will be deposited in the Young Auditorium endowment of your choice. Please refer to the listing below, or contact our development office for additional details. In addition to the worthy contribution opportunities available through our community serving endowments, your donation allows us to serve you a delectable buffet of delicious hors d'oeuvres with a full open bar. After indulging in the bounties of the harvest, your auditory senses will be treated to an original song cycle inspired by Willa Cather's classic novel My Ántonia. Marking its first performance outside of Cather's home state of Nebraska, "Prairie Songs: Remembering Ántonia" will be performed by composer Brent Edstrom (piano), with Scott D. Miller (tenor) and Tana Bachman-Bland (violinist).

You may remember that My Ántonia was the title chosen by Young Auditorium for its 7th successful Big Read project awarded by the National Endowment for the Arts. This project opened the door to a new relationship with the Cather Project at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In support of this new relationship, and the success of Young Auditorium's first 25 years, the foundation will cover all the costs of the evening's entertainment. Likewise, the university's new catering and food service, A'viands, is donating all of this evening's hospitality, making it possible for every dollar donated to be deposited in the endowment you choose. Our hope is to raise a minimum of $10,000, with a dream of raising $25,000.
