Fern Young Terrace

The Fern Young Terrace, located on the second floor of the Young Auditorium is available for a variety of events such as sit-down or buffet style dinners, lectures, and weddings. Currently, the Terrace is used for our popular pre-show Sound Bites as well as, proms, weddings, memorial services, lectures, dinners and dances.

The Terrace can accommodate a sit-down dinner for 72 on the Terrace itself, or a maximum of 120 people using the Terrace and upper lobby. Outdoor seating is available if weather permits. 6' round and 6' x 3' rectangular tables are available as well as 30" cafe tables. The Terrace also offers a 6' Mason Hamelin piano, 4 portable bars, and a portable sound system for use. Other various accommodations are available upon request.

Kachel Center

The Kachel Center, located next to the Young Auditorium, can function as a space within itself for those who would need to separate themselves from the main auditorium. The center is equipped with a 32 ft. x 68 ft. sprung hardwood floor identical to that of the auditorium's stage, as well as adjustable lighting. This facility has been used to host banquets and receptions, and is available as a rehearsal space for performers.

Front lobby

The Front Lobby is a truly versatile area having housed everything from a wedding reception for 200, to the World's Affairs Seminar registration. The Three multi-purpose areas are each equipped with phone and internet connections to provide for varied uses. Traditionally, the left side is used for event night box office, the middle is used for our pernament gift shops, and the right is used for concessions.

Break Out Areas

For those in need of areas for small group sessions in addition to main floor events, spaces on the second and third floor are available for this purpose.

With ample room to comfortably seat fifteen people each, four "Break-Out" areas are accessible (two per side, one on each floor). Computer access is available on the second floor.

Green Room

Our Green Room is fully equipped with a functional kitchen as well as comfortable areas for you to relax before your event. Additionally, the Green Room has a television monitor and sound system in order to see and hear the action on stage during performances. This area can also be used as a center of operations for activities, if needed, and is equipped with phone and internet outlets.
