Handicapped Parking

The Young Auditorium offers free parking for all patrons. Each of the two parking lots offer easily accessible handicapped parking spaces. Parking is available in Lot #1, Lot #2, and Lot #3. Enter all of these lots from N. Prince Street. Parking meters are not enforced during events. Parking is also available on nearby city streets and in the Starin Road campus lot.

Lot 2 (recommended for handicapped access and patron drop-off). After turning off of Main Street and onto Prince Street, take the third right past the Greenhill Center of the Arts. A bank of twelve handicapped spots resides near the entrance of the Young Auditorium. Enter at the front of the building.

Lot 1. After turning off of Main Street and onto Prince Street, take an immediate right. A bank of seven handicapped spots will be on your left. From this entrance, enter the Greenhill Center of the Arts and follow the signs through the building to the Young Auditorium.

Patron Drop Off

Two circular drop-off zones allow patrons to drop off individuals who need assistance in accessing the building. A drop-off zone is accessible from either Lot 1 or Lot 2. The areas are only for short term unloading of passengers and no parking is allowed. The drop-off zones allow easy access to the front doors of the auditorium (about thirty feet away). Ushers are posted within the doors to assist patrons beginning one hour before every performance.

Sign Language Interpretation

Signed interpretation (pending availability of interpreters) of evening performances is available upon request. Please contact us at least three weeks ahead of time to check on the availability. All Horizon Matinee Series performances can also be provided with a sign language interpreter. Schools should contact the Horizons Education and Outreach Coordinator three weeks before the performance date to request an interpreter.

Foreign Language Interpretation

Productions of foreign language performances (usually Opera) are provided with English language captioning devices.
