Target Fieldtrip Grants
Target Field Trip Grants Information
The Target Field Trip Grants program provides funds for K-12 field trips in order to give students the opportunity to explore more of the world outside the classroom. Examples of eligible field trips include: art, science, and cultural museum visits; community service and civic projects; and career enrichment opportunities. In the current funding cycle, grants of up to $800 each will be awarded to 5,000 educators throughout the United States. Funds may be used to cover trip-related costs such as transportation, ticket fees, resource materials, and supplies. Education professionals who are employed by accredited U.S. K-12 public, private, or charter schools are eligible to apply.
Planting Seeds of Knowledge: A grant program for schools and community groups
Trained artists work with teachers to integrate curriculum and create rich learning experiences for children.
Grant Guidelines...
- Must be a school or not for profit organization in Wisconsin.
- SEEDS grant covers up to 100% of the artist fees, with the school covering mileage, lodging, and some supplies.
- Funding is available on a first come, first served basis.
- Fund cycle begins August 1 and ends June 30.
- Each school may apply for a total of $3,000 in artist fees.
- Funding may only be used to hire artists from SEEDS roster.

Individual teachers can request funds to cover the cost of tickets to a Horizons performance or Musical Encounters concert, the cost of bus transportation to/from Young Auditorium, or the cost of an Artists in the Schools outreach workshop or assembly. Refer to the 2012-2013 Horizons School Matinee Series brochure for a complete selection of programs.
