Director's Note

Welcome to the 2009-2010 Season where Young Auditorium continues to be Artstanding in its Field! Thanks to your support, we serve as the premier performing arts center in our beautiful region of Wisconsin. We are grateful for the strong support the Auditorium has received, particularly in the area of membership. It indicates that we are fulfilling an important goal of our mission - to serve as an educational and cultural center enriching the lives of the regional communities.

This season offers a world of artistic diversity and excellence right here in your backyard! Membership is your key to the exciting world of the performing arts. Your gift of membership to the auditorium is also a gift to yourself. Membership puts you first in line during the exclusive membership purchasing window. Tickets are available to members only June 19th through July 30th. Take advantage of this opportunity before tickets go on sale to non-members July 31st. At the Supporter level and above, you receive a 10% discount on all ticket purchases right up to the day of the show. In addition, you receive a 15% discount on all tickets purchased for events scheduled January - May 2010, if the tickets are purchased before July 31st. To insure good seats, discounted tickets and help support quality programming, please become a member this season.

Ticket sales only cover a portion of our programming and operating costs. Your membership support will help us continue to offer world-class programming at reasonable ticket prices. In order to accomplish this goal we need each and every one of you to become a member. A full description of membership offerings and benefits are outlined within. Please remember, the Young Auditorium is a nonprofit auxiliary of the university under Section 115 of the Internal Revenue Code. We are responsible for generating the majority of our funding. Just like Public Radio and Television we need your annual support. As a member, you will help the Young Auditorium remain Artstanding in Its Field!

As you can see from the line-up listed in the Season at a Glance, there is something for everyone in the diverse offering of top-notch performing artists. We hope you are as thrilled as we are about the 2009-2010 season and we look forward to having you join us for another Artstanding year!
