Director's Note

Welcome to the 2012-2013 Season, a celebration of the Young Auditorium's 20th Anniversary! To celebrate and say thank you we invite you to the free events programmed throughout the season. We begin with a World Music party that reaches across the globe with Delhi 2 Dublin and Rana Santacruz. Then to get everyone into the act, we kick-off the second half of the season with Sing-Along-A Sound of Music! Both of these events are free to everyone, all you need to do is get tickets in advance from the Greenhill Center of the Arts Box Office or the Information Desk at the University Center. Since you took the time to read this, here's a little tip from the director's desk, there will be a surprise free event in late October. Watch for the announcement in the Janesville Gazette.

Please come and enjoy the party, we have a wealth of exciting special guests and cherished old friends coming to celebrate with us. I believe we have something for everyone gracing the stage of the auditorium this season, including the music of The Eagles, Jimi Hendrix, The Temptations, The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, and John Denver; classical classics: Mozart, Debussy, Piazzolla and Shakespeare; and old friends Leahy, John McGivern, The Four Bitchin' Babes, and Vince Lombardi. How could you possibly resist including yourself in such A Chorus Line?!

The last 20 years would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of the Young Auditorium Team: Development and Assistant Director, Ben Strand; Technical Director, David Nees; Coordinator of Audience Services, Michael Morrissey; Marketing Director, Leslie LaMuro; Coordinator of Education and Outreach, Shannon Dozoryst; Office Manager, Malinda Hunter and all of our student workers and volunteers. We are grateful for the strong support we receive from our patrons, members, sponsors.
