A rip-roaring musical, uncovering that sacred sanctuary of the church ladies - the basement kitchen - where the ladies of this rural Minnesota Lutheran Church serve up Christian charity and Jell-O molds! From the elderly matriarch of the kitchen to the young bride-to-be, they cook up solutions to a record breaking Christmas dinner, the funeral of a dear friend, the Hawaiian Easter fund raiser and a steaming hot July wedding. Funny and down to earth everyone will recognize these ladies from church kitchens everywhere.
