Luna Negra Dance Theater serves as a springboard for Latino artists to express their stories and bring new life to their cultural communities. Avoiding the stereotypes and folkloric representations, Luna Negra creates energetic, powerful, and passionate contemporary Latino dance, reflecting the immense cultural shift that is shaping 21st century America. Their repertoire includes works from acclaimed contemporary Latino choreographers: Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Fernando Melo, Gustavo RamÃrez, Eduardo Vilaro, and Edgar Zendejas.
