The battle of the sexes heats up in Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew when Petruchio sets out to marry and tame Katherina. The beautiful younger sister Bianca cannot marry until after Katerina does, and given her temper and acerbic wit all suitors are frightened off. That is until Petruchio comes along.
