The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater pays tribute to Dr. Roger L. Pulliam on Saturday, April 2, 2022.

Dr. Pulliam was an esteemed member of our Warhawk family and was instrumental in working with students and employees of color. His pioneering work to advance students of color on our campus has resulted in hundreds of students graduating from UW-Whitewater, obtaining advanced degrees and becoming leaders in their respective communities.

Dr. Pulliam passed away in February of 2020 and the University was planning a grand celebration to celebrate his life and legacy, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were unable to do so.  We are honored to be able to share with his family and our Warhawk community in celebrating the life of this notable individual.

In addition to hosting a memorial service, the University is pleased to announce the renaming of one of our premier residence halls in honor of Dr. Pulliam.  In the afternoon, a ceremony will be held to rename Starin Hall to Dr. Roger L. Pulliam Hall.
