Prizes (selected by invited judges including the guest presenters) will be awarded for excellence in creative and technical achievement, with a $500 cash prize for Best In Show, sponsored by the Max Mallory Foundation in honor of UW-Whitewater MAGD alum, Max Mallory, with additional cash prizes sponsored by Filament Games, along with other swag, etc. 

Submissions will accepted in Video, Game, Interactive Design, and Audio Categories.The submission(s) should be made available for viewing online. If not available online, a hard copy must sent via email to and indicated on the Submission form.

Accepted work will be exhibited in the University Center on Wednesday, May 9, from 4-7 PM with Keynote Presentation to follow.


Submission Fees

There is a $3 per participant (not per project) fee. All members of the team will need to remit payment to the Communication Department office (HE 406) (cash or check). Do not remit funds until you receive notification that your project was accepted for Expo.  There is no maximum number of entries per person or team. Entry fee money is used to cover Expo costs and prizes only. Checks should be made out to 'UW-Whitewater Communication Department'

You will be notified via e-mail if your work has been accepted to the 2017 MAGD Expo. Exhibitors of accepted entries must be prepared to provide all necessary equipment (laptop, speakers, software, etc.) to show their work.
