The coach's clinic will be hosted at Nezzy's Sports Bar in Cumberland, WI.  Speakers will talk on fundamental baseball concepts which are designed for youth-high school age baseball staff and coaches.  Coaches in the Northwest region of Wisconsin will have an opportunity to come together to network and learn from other coaches in the game.  We are fortunate to have some of the very best Coaches in our Misnnesota and Wisconsin presenting at this years Clinic!

Registrations accepted online until noon 1/30/20. We do accept walk up registrations at event check-in, if space is available.  Walk-up registration will be available to download here after the online registration closes.

Fees Include

The event fee includes instruction and lunch.


All registrant accounts must be paid in full three weeks (21 days) prior to the start of event. Registrants with outstanding balances after payment is due in full are subject to being removed from the event roster without refund. Please contact Continuing Education Services at prior to this deadline if extenuating circumstances prevent you from completing a payment.

In the event of a cancellation, Continuing Education Services should be notified no later than 21 days before the start of the event session in order to receive a refund, less 20% administrative fee. Cancellation request received less than 21 days from the start of camp will receive a refund minus 50% late cancellation fee of event cost. Cancellations due to medical reasons will receive a full refund, less the 20% administrative fee, if the cancellation is requested and medical documentation is provided prior to the start of event. Valid medical cancellations must include a signed letter from a licensed physician to qualify. NO REFUNDS will be given for withdrawal due to early departures, disciplinary reasons or no show after the event has started.

All cancellation requests must be submitted to; provide registrant’s name, camp and medical documentation, if applicable. Refunds will be returned to name an address of payer.

We reserve the right to cancel any event due to low enrollment; in such as case, all fees paid will be refunded.

You can sponsor a registrant and cover all or partial fees. We have received requests in the past from schools, companies, organizations, friends and family members that would like to send their chosen registrant to a specific event. If you would like to sponsor a registrant, you can request a promo code that you may give to your chosen registrant. Click here for more details.

Received an Award, Sponsorship or Discount?

For those participants who will be receiving a sponsorship to attend this event: Register and use the promo code your sponsor gave you. The sponsorship will be deducted from your invoice.  Any remaining balance remains the participant's responsibility. Any cancellations will result in the sponsorship funds being returned to the supporting organization.

Any qualifying discounts given by the event will not be applied after you have paid in full. Be sure to use the promo code at check out to receive your discount. You will be charged if you do not qualify for requested discount at the start of event.

A processing fee will be assessed if a refund is issued due to overpayment on your account.

Coaches should plan on arriving at 8:00 a.m. for check-in at Nezzy's Sport Bar, Isle Event Center, 1345 2nd Ave, Cumberland, WI.

The Clinicians

Paul Blanchard, Southwest Minnesota State University

Paul Blanchard

Blanchard’s 23 seasons at SMSU have been marked by consistently competitive and winning baseball. His teams have recorded 529 victories, produced 14 winning seasons and have won 30 or more games four times. A native of Minnetonka, Minnesota, Blanchard played two seasons of baseball at Creighton University before transferring to the University of Minnesota. While at Minnesota, Blanchard played both football and baseball for the Gophers and was a member of the 1982 Big Ten championship baseball team.

Marty Paulsen, Fond du Lac HS

Marty Paulsen

Will be beginning 52nd season with Cardinals. This Wisconsin Coaching legend and Hall of Fame Coach has been a Clinic Speaker in 12 different states, Norway, and Canada. His Cardinals went to the State Tournament last year, a season in which he won his 600th career game. He is the owner of the well-known Deer Hunting Lodge, “Camp Buck Rub,” and will sign Lou Holtz autographs for you all day long.

John Vodenlich, UW-Whitewater Head Coach

John Vodenlich

John Vodenlich is one of the best College Coaches in the country at any level. A past College Baseball All-American Player himself, Vodenlich is a member of the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame as well as the Racine County Hall of Fame. Under his 16-years as Head Coach, the Warhawks have won 13 Conference Titles, appeared in six College World Series, and have won NCAA Division III National Championships in both 2005 and 2014.

Steve Bartlein, UW-Whitewater Assistant Coach

Steve Bartlein

Steve Bartlein enters his third season as an assistant coach for the UW-Whitewater baseball team in 2019-20.

Bartlein was a member of the Warhawks' baseball team from 2010-13, helping the team win two Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships and one WIAC Tournament title and reach the NCAA Tournament four times, including an appearance in the Division III World Series in 2011. A two-year starting infielder, Bartlein garnered first team All-WIAC accolades in 2013 after batting .366 with seven doubles, four home runs and 38 runs batted in. He was a two-time WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team selection.

Mark Fuller, UW-Whitewater Assistant Coach

Mark Fuller

Mark Fuller enters his eighth year as an assistant coach for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater baseball team in 2019-20.

Fuller, a 2015 American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame inductee and two-time Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association Man of the Year, served for 34 years as head coach at Cumberland High School and for 35 years as head coach of the town’s American Legion program. His teams posted a 482-243 record at Cumberland High, and his Legion teams finished with a 524-321 mark.
