Jake Shafer

Jake Shafer graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a bachelor's degree in health and human performance and a minor in coaching. Though young into his coaching career, Jake is motivated to bring UW-W woman's wheelchair basketball back to the level of dominance it once was.  Jake is very passionate about helping grow the sport of wheelchair basketball. Using the skills that he developed at UW-W as a player, Jake plans to pass those along to future athletes and help create a bright future for the sport.   

While playing at Whitewater, Jake was able to win a couple of national championships and got invited to a paralympic tryout. He plans to use those experiences to create a championship culture where everyone is able to grow and to keep producing Paralympians that represent the Warhawk name.
