Environmental Science Major
Our new environmental science major prepares you to face the challenges of a changing world. Your courses will give you a strong and diverse foundation for a rewarding career in a green future.
Overview
Focus on your area of interest by choosing one of three track emphases:
- Natural science:
With an emphasis in biology and chemistry courses
- Geosciences:
With coursework in geography, geology and geographic information systems (GIS)
- Environmental resource management:
With courses in environmental ethics, sustainable development and policy issues
You'll broaden your perspective with courses from other tracks, and you'll cap your coursework working with a team to solve a real environmental problem in our region. All environmental science majors will benefit from UW-Whitewater's innovative water programs and partnership with the Milwaukee Water Council.
