The Race Card Project

http://theracecardproject.com/

Michele Norris, journalist and radio host for National Public Radio, founded the Race Card Project in 2010. This is a nation-wide web-based project that invites people from all walks of life to reflect on their experiences and thoughts about race. These reflections are both brief and profound, consisting of six-word sentences posted by visitors to the Race Card Project website.

There are a number of ways to engage this national conversation on race –

➢ As a visitor: Read and think about the six-word sentences posted by others.

➢ As a contributor: Write your own six-word sentence and post it to the project website.

➢ As a conversant: Use one or more of the six-word sentences on race as a discussion, writing, or story-telling prompt.
