To create your idea cloud, you have two options. You can simply draw one on your own and bring it to your conference along with your worksheet. Or, if you prefer, you can use the online tool Coggle. If you choose to use Coggle, follow the instructions below.

At the homepage for Coggle, you'll need to sign up for an account. Once you have an account, you just click on the green "Create" button to start a new coggle.
To write in a tentative thesis, click on the grey box that says "coggle" and then type in your idea.
To create a branch, click on the + sign at either end of the central grey thesis box. A new line will appear with an empty box for titling the branch. To create offshoots of this branch, click on the left end of the idea box (a plus sign will appear).
To create another branch for another idea, go back to the central grey thesis box and click on either end
To erase a branch or line, hold down the "Alt" button on your computer and click on the branch or line you'd like to erase.

To make a pdf of your coggle, click on the download arrow icon on the top right of the screen. This will give you the option to choose to "Download" a PNG or a PDF. Choose pdf. Then save the pdf (to the desktop or flash drive). Now you can print it or upload it to a dropbox, according to your instructor's directions.
