Dr. Mian Farrukh Raza is a Lecturer of Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with the Department of Economics. Dr. Raza holds a Ph.D., Economics from the Kansas State University, M.A. Economics from Western Illinois University and M.Sc., Engineering Management from University of Science and Technology, Taxila (Pakistan).<br><br>Dr. Raza research focuses on International Economics, Industrial Organization, and Sports Economics. In broader terms, his current projects are in the field of applied microeconomics, specifically in International trade using game theoretical models. His recent article published in Economics Letters finds that quality-based R&D subsidies bring quality reversal using game theoretical model. In addition, two of articles in public and sports Economics are published in Public Choice and Managerial Finance. Also, Dr. Raza most recent work in progress is on bilateral trade relationship between developed and less developed countries (DCs and LDCs), a novel two-market equilibrium framework of trade, investigates trade war related issues of dumping, anti-dumping duty, tariff and price-undertaking.<br><br>Dr. Raza teaches Business Statistics and Introductory Microeconomics courses. Before joining to UW-Whitewater, he has taught Introductory Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Basic Economics, Money and Banking, and Public Economics and Finance. In his free times, he enjoys playing squash, swimming, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
