The TAES Certificate will prepare licensed teachers and other professionals working with youth in recognizing and developing the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to work in alternative educational settings and will result in an add-on WI-1952 license. This on-line program consists of a sequence of three 3-credit courses. The program is designed so that participants can complete their program during a 9-week summer session.
Wisconsin Teacher License, based upon a bachelor degree.
Two years of successful full-time classroom teaching experience preferred for our program but not required by DPI for licensure.
The program is also open to teachers licensed outside of Wisconsin, and other teachers and individuals who work with children, and results in the TAES Certificate without licensure.
