Spring 2020 Graduates -
Virtual Celebration video and Warhawks Rising
Over the weekend, UW-Whitewater celebrated the Class of 2020 with the video premiere of our Virtual Celebration of Graduates as well as the online portrait project called Warhawks Rising.
The Virtual Celebration — which featured the chancellor and other leaders, our two student speakers and a musical tribute — has more than 16,000 views.
About 700 graduating students (both undergraduate and graduate) submitted their photos to the Warhawks Rising campaign on Facebook, along with information on their top academic and personal achievements and special shout-outs to inspiring faculty and staff. These posts were in turn commented on and shared by family, friends and members of the Warhawk family.

In-Person Commencement Ceremony -
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremonies at the Whitewater and Rock County campuses have been postponed. Due to the ongoing nature of the pandemic and the Safer-at-Home orders, we do not know at this point when a ceremony will be feasible. We are exploring potential dates and will be sure to let you know when a firm date is set. The graduation fee covers multiple costs not covered by tuition and other student fees. As we explore options to hold a ceremony for the spring 2020 graduates, the costs for the ceremony will still be incurred.
Make sure you have filled out your graduation application, which can be accessed in your Student Center in WINS. Please see the WINS How-To page Graduation - Apply. If you have questions about your graduation status, contact the Registrar’s Office or your specific college immediately: Arts and Communication – 262-472-1221; Business and Economics – Advising and Career Services Office, 262-472-4900; Education and Professional Studies – Jillian Smith, 262-472-1059; Letters and Sciences – Deb Connelly, 262-472-1620; Associate of Arts Degree – Registrar's Office, 262-472-1570.
