Our keynote speaker is Dr. Terrance L. Green, assistant professor at the University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy. His research focuses on the nexus of urban school reform and socially just community development with a particular focus on school and community leaders. Dr. Green's scholarship also examines issues of geography of educational opportunity for children of color from low-income backgrounds. 

Dr. Green's research has been published in Teachers College Record, Educational Administration Quarterly, Urban Review, International Journal of Qualitative Studies in Education, Urban Education, Education and Urban Society, Journal of School Leadership, and the Journal of Cases in Educational Leadership. In addition, his work has been featured in a variety of popular press venues such as TIME, Austin American Statesman, Dallas Morning News, Texas Tribune, Detroit Free Press, and the McAllen Monitor.
