ATTENTION:

The Depatement of Continuing Education and Graduate Studies at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater seeks a Registration, Website, & IT Support Specialist (ASSOC INF PROC CONSLT).

Reappointment for subsequent terms is dependent upon needs of the position, university funding and external forces.

This is an internal posting for current UW-Whitewater employees. JOB DETAILS:

Under the supervision of the Department Website Developer, this full-time position will assist in the creation of event registration for Continuing Education and Graduate Studies; update event website to ensure accuracy and consistency of information; provide tech support; supervise student workers; and create Google analytics reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree
  • At least 6+ months of website design
  • Experience in registration software
  • Experience in supervising student or staff
  • Demonstrated a high attention to detail

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations including necessary training and drills
  • Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds

RESPONSIBILITIES:

35%   A. Registration
  1. Create registration for events using our registration software
  2. Monitor and adjust the registration process once event is created
  3. Solve problems and answer questions related to registration
  4. Backup for sending registrant counts/reports to event directors
  5. Maintain instructional manual for creating registrations and using Ungerboeck software
  6. Train staff students on registration software
25%   B. Tech Support
  1. Provide IT assistance for CE/GS sponsored events
  2. Consultation with ICIT for purchasing and troubleshooting problems
  3. Submit tech purchasing requests to supervisor for approval
  4. Review University and External publications to increase understanding of CE/GS issues and needs
  5. Maintain registration and CE/GS IT project schedules by developing project plans and spcifications, estimating time and resources, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of the project lifecycle, providing timely report of issues that impact the project progress, coordinating actions and resolving conflicts
  6. Identify ways to increase adoption of new technologies to increase customer satisfaction
15%   C. Supervision
  1. Supervise, monitor, and evaluate CE/GS Tech student staff who provide IT support for the CE/GS department
  2. Participate in group, department, and CE/GS staff meetings
  3. Share knowledge with fellow IT staff and provide assistance in areas of personal expertise
15%   D. Website Maintenance
  1. Update CE/GS department websites, as needed
  2. Ensure the websites are monitored and up-to-date
  3. Work collaboratively with supervisor to endure websites meet expectations of department
5%   E. Web-based Marketing/ Google Analytics
  1. Using Google Analytics, create monthly traffic reports fo CE/GS department pages
  2. Create marketing reports for specific date and page ranges as requested
  3. Create aggregate and summary data reports in Excel using data extracted from Google Analytics, Google Ads, and more, to provide meaningful interpretation and analysis
  4. Incorporate best-practice SEO methods to optimize pages and traffic for Google and other search engines in the construction of web pages
  5. Integrate and connect social media pixels from registration through Google Analytics
