Wikis

A wiki is a user friendly instant web-publishing system. It allows multiple users to easily collaborate on the same online document and keeps track of changes to pages.  It also allows you to easily go back to old versions and compare different revisions.

Instructional Wikis - Available for course related use and must be requested by an instructor.

At UW-Whitewater, we have setup Confluence for our ClassWiki service. The service is located at http://classwiki.uww.edu.  Confluence is a versatile system which offers a rich text editor and provides a great level of flexibility when using wikis in your courses. Instructors who would like a wiki space created for their classroom should contact the Learning Technology Center.

Non-Instructional Wikis (spaces) - Available for collaboration to Faculty, Staff and Students outside of instructional work.

At UW-Whitewater, we have setup Confluence for our wikis/spaces service. This service is located at http://spaces.uww.edu. Confluence is a versatile system which offers a rich text editor and provides a great level of flexibility when using wikis. To request an account or access, contact helpdesk@uww.edu.
