Navigating the Instructor Role: Better Understanding How to Use Navigate from an Instructors Lens

Friday, April 2, 2021 | 11:00 am

Navigate is UW-Whitewater’s student success management software system designed to simplify and enhance processes used by campus staff, faculty, and academic leaders to support students. Advising staff, faculty, and support services can communicate through Navigate and coordinate outreach and care to UWW undergraduate students. Through this interactive workshop, we will focus on the Professor role within the platform in an effort to demonstrate available features including:

  •  Accessing class roster and actions affiliated with assigned students
  • Submitting alerts to prompt student action and notify campus support team members when a student needs academic assistance
  • Sending messages to students

Come learn a little bit more about Navigate and how you can incorporate it into your everyday interaction with students.

 Attendees will learn:

  1. How to issue an academic alert for a student and learn the workflow in ensuring support/contact is made with the student
  2. How to communicate with students within the Navigate platform
  3. Understand/experience the student’s view of Navigate and the benefits it has for them
