Higher Learning Commission to visit campus Oct. 5-7

UW-Whitewater will welcome a five-member team from the Higher Learning Commission to campus Oct. 5-7, as part of its decennial reaccreditation process. Accreditation through HLC provides assurance to students of educational quality, ensures that academic credits are eligible for transfer to other accredited institutions, qualifies UW-Whitewater to pursue funding through federal grant programs, and ensures that its students are eligible for federal student aid. Since 2005-06, UW-Whitewater students have secured $680 million in federal funding through such programs.
