UW-Whitewater Sales Team gets impressive results at national competition

Nimmer and LarsenThe UW-Whitewater Sales Team placed fourth in the nation at the National Collegiate Sales Competition held April 1-4, 2016, at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia.  

Team member Maddie Larsen (pictured right), a senior marketing major, tied for second nationally and narrowly missed the top spot. Senior marketing major Karlee Nimmer (left) made it to the quarterfinals.  

This year, 68 major sales programs in the country competed for the team title and individual honors. Only in its third year of competition, UW-Whitewater held its own against the top programs in the country, finishing just behind Kennesaw State University, Bradley University and Michigan State University.  

The UW-Whitewater Sales Team is available to students enrolled in the professional selling emphasis, professional selling minor or professional selling certificate program as well as those in the advanced sales class.   

Professor of Marketing Jimmy Peltier is director of the Sales Institute and the sales coach, senior marketing major Loren Hesselgrave and Dan Herlache, lecturer of marketing, served as coaches for the season.
