The safety of our campus community is a top priority. We are all responsible for creating and maintaining a safe and positive learning, living and working environment for students, faculty and staff. As employees, we each hold a position of trust and authority when it comes to creating an environment that is free from sexual harassment or sexual violence.
In accordance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights, all UW-Whitewater employees are designated as Mandatory Reporters which means as a condition of your employment, you are required to report any knowledge, incident or allegation of sexual misconduct (e.g. sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence or stalking) involving a student, employee, contractor or guest. The report may be submitted either online at: http://www.uww.edu/sexual-misconduct-information/reporting-sexual-assault or by email to one of the following:
Paige Reed, Title IX Coordinator, firstname.lastname@example.org
Artanya Wesley, Dean of Students, email@example.com
Judi Trampf, Director of Human Resources & Diversity, firstname.lastname@example.org
University Police Services, email@example.com
These individuals and departments are here to support you and can address any questions you may have regarding these issues. When submitting a report, please include all details available, even if information was shared with you in confidence (except for professional health or counseling staff or victim advocates). Upon receipt of this information, the Title IX Coordinator will evaluate the information to determine whether certain information should remain confidential while balancing the University's responsibility to provide a safe and nondiscriminatory environment for its students, employees and guests.
As of December, 2016, all employees are required to complete mandatory online Title IX training on an annual basis. This web-based training program is titled “Intersections: Preventing Harassment and Sexual Violence,” and is hosted by LawRoom. The Office of Human Resources & Diversity is responsible to sending out the training link to all employees and supervisors which will provide access to the online program. Any questions about the training should be directed to the Office of Human Resources & Diversity.
If you have any questions or concerns related to this notice or your responsibilities, please do not hesitate to contact Paige Reed, Title IX Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or 262-472-1910.
Thank you for your continued efforts in this matter.
