New Employees/New Roles
Ana Caballero Mengibar has been named director of the Undergraduate Research Program. An associate professor of political science in the Department of Integrated Studies, she was the first faculty member from the Rock County campus to serve as the associate director for the program. Previously, she mentored several undergraduate research students. Her research focuses on uncovering unequal power relations in the international system; the politics of immigration, gender, class, race, and nation-formation within the context of international politics and globalization. Dr. Caballero Mengibar is incredibly proud of the opportunities that she can provide students at UW-Whitewater and is excited to assist them in satisfying their curiosity through research.
“I look forward to the innovative leadership Ana will bring to this position,” said Ozalle Toms, assistant vice chancellor of Student Diversity, Engagement and Success.
