Family Fest
Family Fest kicks off this Friday, Oct. 14! Invite your loved ones to campus and enjoy all that UW-Whitewater has to offer. The university will be hosting a number of events for all ages to enjoy.

Kudos to the Department of Counselor Education, which had the following members present at the biennial conference of the North Central Association of Counselor Education and Supervision held Sept. 28-Oct. 1, 2022, in Omaha, Nebraska:
  • Associate Professor Cindy Anderton and Assistant Professor Ola Bamgbose presented "Increasing the Retention and Recruitment of Diverse Students in Counselor Education Programs"
  • Assistant Professor Gina Martin presented "The Eyes and Emotion Regulation: Helpful Tips for Counselors" together with Deanna Chrones
  • Gina Martin also presented "Neuroscience and Counseling" with graduate student Melissa Trago, who is pursuing a Master of Science in Counseling at UW-Whitewater

Head to the Down Under at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, as UC Live hosts Spoken Word: Asia Samson. Samson is a writer, poet and part-time ninja. He has been seen on HBO Def Poetry Jam and has shared the stage with such artists as Janelle Monae, Jill Scott, DMX, Mos Def, Dead Prez and KRS-One.
