Kudos to the student organization Excelerators, which had two students place in the top 10 for the United States in the Microsoft Excel Collegiate Challenge, an Esport that is sponsored by the Financial Modeling World Cup. Jack Oman, supply chain management major, and Joshua Majors, finance and business analytics double major, will represent UW-Whitewater in this international event in which students have to solve case studies with Microsoft Excel. Round 1 took place Oct 8-9 and round 2 was Oct. 15. Those who place in the top 30 after round 2 will be invited to the finals, which will take place in person in Tucson, Arizona, on Dec. 3. Warhawk Football defeated the UW-Oshkosh Titans in front of a packed crowd in Perkins Stadium on Friday, Oct. 14. 18,951 fans attended the game, which is a record for both the stadium and the WIAC. It was also the largest-ever crowd for a Division III football game held on campus.

Pumpkin Painting in Andersen Library

A family farm of an Andersen Library staffer has provided about 100 medium- and small-sized pie pumpkins — perfect size for a dorm or apartment! The Hawk-Kor, Harmonia, and Concert Choir takes place at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23, in Light Recital Hall. The Percussion Ensemble will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, in Light Recital Hall. These events are free for students with their HawkCard.
