First graduates of unique UW-Whitewater at Rock County bachelor program cross the stage
 
The first graduates of a unique UW-Whitewater at Rock County bachelor program crossed the stage this May. One of those proud graduates was Amy Moore, UW-Whitewater veterans services coordinator! Developed by the UW-Whitewater’s Rock County’s College of Integrated Studies, the online Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences offers a flexible degree completion pathway for students who hold an applied associate degree from a technical college.

Kudos to Jess Clayton, a policy and planning analyst in Institutional Research and Planning, who was selected to present at the National Association for Institutional Research Forum on June 2. Her presentation, "Barriers to Sophomore Success: Predicting Second-to-Third-Year Retention," will be available to attendees as a featured session.

 

Kudos to the Men’s Club Baseball team for winning their regional tournament as a member of the National Club Baseball Association! The team is headed to the NCBA World Series for the first time in team history. The World Series kicks off May 26 in Alton, Illinois, where the club team, seeded eighth, opens against the number-one seed Utah State. Read more »

The last regular issue of Warhawk Weekly for the semester will be Wednesday, May 17. The campus-wide newsletter will publish occasionally throughout the summer and resume weekly publication in fall.

UW-Whitewater summer session 2023
 

UW-Whitewater’s summer session begins on May 22. With hundreds of online or in-person courses offered during four different sessions lasting three, six, nine, or 12 weeks, we make it easy for you to find the perfect fit. Here are two great reasons to take a course in summer: 

• The sessions go more quickly — most summer courses are only three or six weeks

This year’s WINGO is also an employer-sponsored activity that can be used toward the Well Wisconsin $150 Wellness Incentive! Employees can register to participate anytime between April 1 and Oct. 1.
