Laura Brunke, MSW, CAPSW is the WI-WIOA Certified Advanced Practice Social Worker, a Career Interviewer, and a MSW Intern Specialist at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (UW-W). For over 15 years, Laura has eagerly dedicated her service to promoting opportunities for individuals across the lifespan and advancing the skills of individuals with various abilities. Particularly impactful was the four years she spent visiting and connecting with pregnant women in their homes as a social worker and care coordinator. 

With the CITEE team, Laura hopes to continue positively influencing community members and assisting all individuals she meets in advancing their skills. Currently, she conducts interviews with individuals employed at 14(c) or special wage locations, as well as coordinates conferences and other projects for individuals in the mental health and human services fields. As a Certified Advanced Practice Social Worker, Laura provides supervision and mentoring to Masters level social work interns. By providing such supervision and leading the team in quality assurance efforts, she is happily utilizing her passion to help the CITEE team grow.

Laura holds a bachelor's degree in Dance and Psychology and a master's degree in Social Work, both from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
