Michelle Osness is an Assistant Researcher at University of Wisconsin - Whitewater and leads the National Core Indicator (NCI) Project in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. For more information regarding NCI, please visit

Michelle earned a Master's degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Kentucky with a certificate in Developmental Disabilities from the Human Development Institute; more recently she is pursuing a Certificate in Business Data Analytics. She also serves on the DHS cultural competence committee, recently completed a term as a Board Director for the Dane County Rape Crisis Center, and was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for Excellence in Positive Morale from the Division of Medicaid Services.

In her spare time she enjoys traveling, learning how to sail, and camping.
