Technology - It's a Girl Thing

CyberGirlz is a two day camp designed for incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls who are interested in learning more about computer technology. Campers are instructed by a combination of UW-Whitewater staff, students and IT professionals and participate in a number of fun activities which will introduce topics ranging from digital video to programming and game design.

What Will Campers Do?

Campers will be divided by grade level to complete activities. Sample topics are listed below:

6th grade:
Programming with Scratch or Android Mobile App Development
Creating and Editing Digital Music, Photos, and Video
Web Design

7th grade:
Robotics, Circuitry and Network design 
Computer Breakdown and Repair 
Internet Security and Computer Programming

8th grade:
Social Entrepreneurship
Advanced web design
Gaming and technical product design

When and Where?

When: July 18 & 19, 2017, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Where: UW-Whitewater - Whitewater, Wisconsin
Cost: $15 - Scholarships are available to those with special circumstances 
Cost includes registration, camp materials, camp t-shirt, and daily lunch and snacks.


Registration is now closed. We will open registration for next year's camp in February, 2018.
