Pearson Vue

Wisconsin Foundations of Reading Test

Students create an account, or log into their account on the NES website and complete the registration process for the test as well pay the fees for the test-students should be prepared to pay this amount by credit card (students without a credit card should refer to the "Policies" tab for options). 

Placement Test

Students can register for placement tests at the following website:   https://exams.wisc.edu/placement/regionaltesting/information.php Results of the placement test and corresponding course placement will be available to students during their Warhawks SOAR program. Students are allowed to repeat the Math Placement Test one time, and it must be repeated at UW-Whitewater after regional testing has concluded and by individual appointment (any exception to this policy is at the discretion of the Testing Director).

GRE

CLEP

Students create an account, or log into their account on the CLEP website and complete the registration process for the test that they wish to take, as well pay the fees for that test-students should be prepared to pay this amount by credit card. Students then schedule to take the test at UW-Whitewater by calling the Testing Office at 262-472-5613. There is a $30 Testing Office administration fee for each test taken at UWW and this can be paid by cash, check, or money order. 

DSST

Students register for a test by calling the Testing Office at 262-472-5613. Students should refer to the DSST website for fee information and be prepared to pay this amount prior to their scheduled testing time by credit card, check, or money order. Additionally, there is a $30 Testing Office administration fee for each test taken and is payable at the time of the exam; this can be paid by cash, check, or money order. Exams are 2 hours in length.

Language Testing International (OPIc and WPT)

Students register for a testing window by calling the Testing Office at 262-472-5613. The OPIc takes 20-40 minutes and the WPT takes 60-80 minutes -- there is a $30 Testing Office administration fee for each test taken and is payable at the time of the exam; this can be paid by cash, check, or money order.  Students will also need to proceed to Language Testing International and register for an academic test and pay for their exam(s). When registering for a test in this system, students seeking licensure must search by the State Teacher Application category, non-Education majors search by the University, School or Academic Program category. Students will be required to select three testing dates and times (student should select the date and time registered for at UW-Whitewater and then select dates and times for the next two weeks after). Students register for exams that are labeled "Advanced" and the following are required for UW-Whitewater students:


French/German/Spanish Education majors - both exams (OPIc and WPT)

French/German/Spanish Education minors - both exams (OPIc and WPT)

French/German/Spanish majors (non-Education) - only the OPIc

French/German/Spanish minors (non-Education) - no exam

Castle Worldwide

The Testing Office administration fee is paid to the Testing Office by Castle Worldwide- this fee is a fixed cost for all Castle Internet-Based Testing Centers, and is part of your initial exam fee. Test times vary from 2-6 hours in length.

Departmental Exam

Students must contact the department for permission to take the exam and then the department contacts the Testing Center to approve the student and send testing materials and requirements/procedures (if this applies). Students register for a test by calling the Testing Office at 262-472-5613. There is a $30 Testing Office administrative fee for each exam taken and is payable at the time of the exam; this can be paid by cash, check, money order, or billed to student account (current UWW students only). Exams vary in length.

Miscellaneous Exam

Students must contact the department, University, or testing agency for permission to take the exam and have them contact the Testing Center to grant approval and send testing materials and requirements/procedures (if this applies). Students then register for a test by calling the Testing Office at 262-472-5613and sign up for a paper based or computer based test (whichever applies to their test). There is a $30 Testing Office administrative fee for each exam taken and is payable at the time of the exam; this can be paid by cash, check, or money order. Exams vary in length.
