Student qualifications
<p>The LIFE Program admits students who are likely to benefit from the academic, residential, and vocational supports provided. Prospective students should meet the following qualifications:</p>
<ul>
<li>Ages 18-25 at the time of acceptance</li>
<li>Documentation of an intellectual disability</li>
<li>Ability to function independently for at least a few hours at a time</li>
<li>No significant challenging behaviors that would interfere with participation</li>
<li>Ability to take medication independently or with technology-based reminders</li>
<li>Ability to manage daily needs, such as following a specialized diet</li>
<li>Ability to complete basic hygiene routines independently or with minimal support</li>
<li>Motivation to obtain and maintain employment</li>
<li>Ability to adapt to change in campus and work environments</li>
<li>Demonstrated respect for self and others</li>
<li>Willingness to accept responsibility and receive feedback</li>
<li>Interest in social interaction and forming friendships and professional relationships</li>
<li>Motivation to live independently, with appropriate parent/guardian support</li>
<li>Some prior employment or volunteer experience</li>
